يتناول المقرر: اللغة العربية أساسياتها وأساليب تدريسها: مفهوم اللغة ووظيفتها, المبادئ العامة التي يتأسس عليها تعليم اللغة العربية, المعاييراللازمة لمدرسي اللغة العربية. اساليب التدريس: الاستماع, التعبيرالشفهي, التعبيرالكتابي, الاملاء. أساليب تدريس القراءة والقواعد، تدريس النصوص الأدبية في مرحلة التعليم الاساسي.

This course aims to acquaint students with the theories, approaches, methods, and specific techniques concerning the teaching of English as a second language. Discussions on teaching methods will be facilitated by simulated teaching demonstrations, classroom observations, and other activities.

من خلال هذا المقرّر يستطيع الطلاب أن: يدركوا أهمية مواد الاجتماعيات في اعداد وتكوين شخصية المتعلم، يميزوا ويدركوا أهداف تعليم الاجتماعيات في المرحلة الابتدائية (في الحلقتين الأولى والثانية)، يميّزوا خصائص كل مادة دراسية وأهم المبادىء التربوية في فن تدريس مواد العلوم الاجتماعية (التاريخ, الجغرافية , التربية الوطنية والتنشئة المدنية)، يتدربوا على اعداد وتطوير بطاقة تحضير تربوي وينتجوا بطاقات تحضير لدروس في المواد المختلفة، يضعوا معايير التقييم.

يتناول المقرر: إدراك ماهية الرياضيات، التعرف على المكونات الأساسية لمادة الرياضيات، التعرف على الأهداف التعليمية ومستوياتها، التعرف على ماهية التخطيط للتدريس ومستوياته، التعرف على طرائق وأساليب تدريس الرياضيات مثل حل المشكلات، التواصل الرياضي، التفكير الرياضي، الترابطات الرياضية، طي الورق...

يتناول المقرر: طبيعة العلم، (مفهومه، خصائصه، طريقته، اخلاقياته، اغراضه)، أهداف تدريس العلوم (أهميتها، الأهداف العامة، الأهداف الخاصة)، غايات تدريس العلوم (اكتساب المعرفة العلمية، مهارات التفكير العلمي وعمليات العلم، الاتجاهات العلمية)، طرق وأساليب تدريس العلوم (الاكتشاف الحر والموجه، حل المشكلات، التجريب العملي، العروض العملية، الرحلات العلمية، المناقشة والمحاضرة).

This course offers an introduction to various artistic techniques that can be used in education. It is based on the premise that art is an important intellectual and emotional means of communication. Students are expected to gain expertise in visual arts through a series of practical projects.

يتناول المقرر: تعريف التربية الخاصة، المبادئ والمفاهيم الأساسية في التربية الخاصة، الاعاقة العقلية، السمعية، صعوبات التعلم، الاعاقات الجسمية والصحية، اضطرابات السلوك، التوحد، اضطرابات التواصل، الموهبة والتفوق، التدخل المبكر، توجهات معاصرة في مجال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.

يتناول المقرر ملاحظة و تقييم أداء تجربة الطالب/المعلم الميدانية في مجال التدريس في المرحلة الابتدائية، حلقة أولى وثانية من التعليم الأساسي باشراف الجامعة  والتنسيق مع اساتذة المدرسة . يكتسب الطالب في هذا المقرر خبرات تربوية من خلال: تجربته في ملاحظة عمليات التدريس النظامية التي تجري في المدرسة، تجربته في ممارسة عملية التدريس، تمكينه من التقويم الذاتي.

يهدف المقرر إلى التعرف على عملية التعلم، ما هي وكيف تتم، وما هي شروط التعلم الجيد ومتغيراته. بالاضافة إلى الاطلاع ومناقشة عدد من أهم نظريات التعلم وتطبيقاتها التربوية والنفسية على مختلف مجالات علم النفس والتربية، (نظرية التعلم عن طريق المحاولة والخطأ، نظرية الاشتراط الاجرائي، نظرية الاقتران، المدرسة المعرفية: نظرية الجشتلط، التعلم القائم على المعنى، التعلم الاجتماعي، نظرية المجال...)

The course is designed to provide the educator with a broad base of knowledge about the uses of computers in education. Candidates will have hands-on experience with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, graphics software, instructional software, and teacher utilities. Other topics include software evaluation, hardware selection, and telecommunications.

A course on the development of educational thought and practices through primary sources. System of educational theory will be examined from the age of Athens & Egress to post-World War II, with special emphasis on contemporary educational practice.

The course covers a chronological study of children's development, including typical and atypical cognitive, linguistic, emotional and physical development. The relative influences and interactions of heredity and environment, and the impact of development on learning and school success are examined.

The main topics of the course are: The Nature of Probability and Statistics, Frequency Distributions and Graphs, Data Description, Probability and Counting Rules, Discrete Probability Distributions, The Normal Distribution, Confidence Intervals and Sample Size and Hypothesis Testing.

This course examines the history of curriculum and its structure, as well as the economical, psychological, and philosophical foundations of building the curriculum. An examination of the Lebanese curriculum is emphasized.

The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of general assessment techniques. Students will gain skill in developing instruments that assess students' prior knowledge and skills, current understandings, and acquisition. Diagnostics, formative and summative assessment techniques are examined.

يتناول هذا المقرر خدمات الإرشاد النفسي و التوجيه التربوي في المدارس كوسيلة فعالة في عصر تتغير فيه الاحتياجات بتسارع مذهل، وتتصاعد فيه المشكلات في البيئة المدرسية والعائلية والاجتماعية. تعتبر خدمات الإرشاد النفسي أداة تربوية ـ نفسية شاملة تساعد على إشباع احتياجات الطلاب وتقوية دافعيتهم وإثراء خبراتهم. إنها تُسهم بشكل كبير في تحقيق النمو السوي لديهم وفقاً لميولهم و قدراتهم و استعداداتهم. كما تساعدهم على حل مشكلاتهم الدراسية بأسلوب علمي تربوي، وعلى تجنيبهم الشعور بالفشل وعدم القدرة على التحصيل المدرسي و بالتالي الشعور بالنقص، مما يُحقق لهم إمكانية الاستمرار في الدراسة و متابعتها، وحل ما قد يعترضهم من صعوبات تعليمية وتعلّمية متنوعة تحول دون نجاحهم.

This is a study skills course that aims at developing potential teacher’s proficiency in the skills of test taking, studying, word attacking, paraphrasing, restating and handwriting.

This course aims at helping potential teachers extend their knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, as well as develop their oral/aural language proficiency through watching videos, conducting role-plays, simulations, and interviews, as well as presenting reading materials (of various sources: the internet, newspapers, magazines, and so on).

This course introduces the overall concepts of civilization and the most important factors that contributed to the emergence of Islamic civilization. It also encompasses the main characteristics of the Islamic civilization with particular focus on the human dimension. Manifestations of Islamic civilization in policy, management, economy, society, and sciences are emphasized.

This course aims at the development of a scientific orientation in the solution of educational problems. This course develops students' skills in identifying and developing research problems dealing with a variety of research designs. Basic statistical concepts are included.

This course aims to cover what the activity of research is, how to proceed, how to measure progress, and what constitutes success. Students must understand the research process and the rules that guide it. It provides students an overview of qualitative and quantitative methods, data collection, recording and analysis and final output of a research proposal. It also provides students with tools to look at things objectively, develop critical and scientific attitude, as well as disciplined thinking to observe objectively and finally, skills of research particularly in the age of information. By the end of this module students should be in a position to prepare and carry out a small research proposal within a three month project.
